Surgical Dermatology
Surgical Dermatology addresses the removal of unwanted benign or malignant growths of the skin. We value the comfort of our patients during these minor procedures, and utilize the latest surgical approaches to achieve optimal results.
Mole Removal
There are many varieties of moles. Many moles are completely harmless, and others are, or may progress into, something harmful. We complete full evaluation of all moles, and will counsel you if removal is recommended. Cosmetic removal of benign moles may also be chosen by a patient to enhance the appearance.
Keloids
Keloids are exuberant growths of scar tissue which can occur at the site of piercings, trauma, or even surgical sites. There are effective medical treatments for keloids, however, excision may be considered in certain anatomic sites..
Lipomas
Lipomas are benign growths of fatty tissue under the skin. Although mostly asymptomatic, if they cause discomfort, or are in an area of cosmetic concern, removal may be considered.
